Seeking a work set in the Wimmera, I hadn’t expected much from this eponymously titled fiction but was delighted to find a geographical coordinates striptease which might have been commissioned for the ‘Travelling Write – a Novel Experience’ project. The well-crafted story switches adroitly between the third and first person and is a cut above much of what purports to be literature.
